This bench was commissioned by the Housing Authority of Portland to celebrate the residents, history and stories of the Humboldt Garden community. The composition of the bench was designed to resonate with the community’s name and to excite and inspire the residents. The surface of the bench is made up of strips of steel embossed with words and phrases gathered from a community event we hosted to gain input and
ideas about the sculpture. |
